A Different Pitch to Play at 11mm Footbal Film Festival ( 27/03/2009 )

Doug Aubrey's film A Different Pitch has been selected to play at the 11mm Football Film Festival (3-6 April) at the Babylon Cinema, Berlin.

Filmed during the immediate aftermath of the Kosovan conflict (1999-2000), A Different Pitch is a hard-hitting yet compassionate film that follows football coach Scotty Lee and the charity Spirit of Soccer, as they travel throughout the war-torn region.

Archive from A Different Pitch, along with material filmed by Aubrey with Spirit of Soccer since Bosnia in 1996, will also be featured in a forthcoming feature-length documentary with a working title of War & Football, which is due to be completed in time for the 2010 World Cup finals.
