Dog Altogether will be screening with Somers Town ( 22/08/2008 )

BAFTA award-winning director Shane Meadow's new feature film Somers Town will be released in the UK tomorrow, Friday 22 August 2008.

The film, shot in black and white, sees Thomas Turgoose (This is England) play Tomo, a troubled young boy, who has run away to London. In London, he meets Polish teenager Marek, who invites him to stay in his house, and the both boys form a strong bond, working odd jobs and competing for the attention of Maria, a beautiful French waitress.

Scottish Screen-supported short film, Dog Altogether, will be screening alongside Somers Town at selected UK cinemas. To find out more, please contact your local cinema.

Set in Glasgow, Dog Altogether is produced by Warp Films, co-produced by Anna Duffield, written and directed by Paddy Considine and starring Peter Mullan. Dog Altogether is the story of Joseph (Peter Mullan), as a troubled man with a dead dog in his hands. After a momentary loss of self-control, he begins to realise his personality and lifestyle have a terrible impact on others and seized by this sudden illumination, he falls to pieces and takes refuge by hiding in a Christian charity shop.
