The context for cinema and moving image has changed radically over the past decade and continues to change. Much of this is due to digital media technologies redefining the distribution and exhibition of feature films. Additionally, the internet, mobile phones, multi-channel television, DVDs and downloadable films are impacting on audience taste and perception.
